I usually read my posts to Cornflake before I publish. There are two things he often wants to add;
1. He loves me any size….bless him.
2. When am I going to mention the happy food dance?
I’m the only person he knows who dances with joy when they eat. I also hum. I’m not the only person I know who responds to food this way. Frenchie does and there’s a photo of Goodly as a toddler eating ice cream and swaying, one foot off the ground, she now responds similarly to gin, tonic, crisps and dip. We call this action the happy food dance. It’s a shame it’s not more vigorous. If it was it might burn off the calories being ingested as they arrived but it’s a gentle action and couldn’t be classed as cardio. The humming is tuneless, unbidden and unconscious. It’s not like the humming that comes from an ear worm, an advert that has infiltrated deep layers of consciousness; Whoooaa, body fooorm, body form for yooouuu! It’s soft and only audible at close quarters, a little like a quiet purr.
Once when I was a student and as it happens slim, a class mate asked me what I was smiling at over lunch, I answered honestly…Am I smiling? It must be the beans, I love beans.
Proof, if more proof is needed of my very odd relationship with food.
