This morning I thought I’d go for a walk pre working from home. It’s amazing what a dull English winter day can offer in a Royal Park, especially one with giraffes.
The walking time helps me to focus, break the sofa charm and put me into work mode.
A walk in the park is a great time for thinking, planning work, dinners, life; winning imaginary arguments with non existent wankers, wandering aimlessly through memories and, in my park, seeing how the other half (richest 5%) live.
Sometimes I count the number of Bentleys versus the number of Rolls Royce’s or the number of genteel cars versus flashy ones. It’s a change from my youth when the car comparison choices available were more along the lines of bangers versus wrecks.
The idea of a short journey to break a current habit should, perhaps, be applied to my diet, maybe a break at a health farm?
Ha! I make myself laugh sometimes.
