An Opinion, a theory and a thought for the week.

I’m a woman with opinions, many opinions, some considered, some not so much.

I would hazard a guess that I have a thought, theory or opinion on most topics. On some things I may have all three.

After a recent conversation with Cornflake, I have solidified my opinion that at present, the two main British political parties are, a bunch of lying, self serving, criminal toffs, or a blob of ineffectual, rudderless, would be politicians in search of an identity.

Perhaps I should start a political movement. The Stop Knobbing About Party.

SKAP.

I’ll wait until I find a more appealing anacronym. Policies wouldn’t go amiss I suppose.

On a domestic note, I have a theory that our long running odd sock problem is the work of the NBTD network, the National Brotherhood of Tumble Dryers in collaboration with the FSC, the Free Sock Coalition. I base this on the fact that between our old tumbler conking out in December and the arrival of the new one a couple of weeks back, no socks went missing. Pairing socks was very straightforward for a couple of months. However, since the replacement tumble dryer arrived, sock pairing has returned to its previous, frustrating and time consuming status. Two individual socks have made a break for freedom and I’m sure they had help. I have just the one suspect and it’s name is Zanussi.

My predominant thought for this week is that a walk by the Thames is always a good idea. A mill pond, a raging torrent, the seaside and a busy highway, never the same, always familiar.

However, it’s worth noting that if you find yourself on the beach like banks when the tide is out, you are more likely to find turds than treasure, don’t dig.
