Sunday extra

31st October

It’s eleven on Sunday morning. I’ve had a bit of a lie in, a bath, and a rather nice breakfast. You’ve got to love that extra hour. I wouldn’t mind one every Sunday. Logistically difficult I admit. My plan would be to shorten Wednesday by an hour in order to facilitate the plan.

Other things on the cards for today include a trip out for our booster jabs, finishing writing a briefing power point, hiding from trick or treaters and scrubbing the shower tiles. Don’t let anyone tell you that I don’t know how to live.

I had thought, on the rare occasion that I thought about it, that I was best described as vax neutral. It turns out that for myself, I am most definitely pro vax.

Cornflake and I are double vaccinated, we’ve both had our flu jab, we’re getting our booster and I wonder what else is on offer, I’d be game, l really would.

In other, living the high life, news, I made a cocktail on Friday that was truly disgusting. As a result I have a hot tip that you’d all do well to heed. The more sensible amongst you will probably not need this warning.

Here it is:

If you find that you have no ice with which to make your dry martini, don’t substitute the ice with twister ice lollies, even if they are the only cold thing available at either Sainsbury’s or Tesco and on sale at 25p each.

I hope that’s clear. I’m adding an explanatory picture for the visual learners out there just in case.
