Spring still trying to upload

The weather is supposed to take an upturn this coming weekend. I for one am mightily relieved. I got caught in a hail storm last week. It was vicious. The wind blew the rain and hail straight into my front, straight through my coat, my dress and my underwear. I had to strip off when I got home, everything was dripping wet, too wet to hang up, too worn to be spun, they had to be washed and dried.

My breasts have never been so cold. I felt like they had taken the ice bucket challenge. It took an entire day for them to regain their correct temperature. I wondered if anyone had ever died of a tit chill. Anyway I didn’t or haven’t yet.

The Easter recess means I’ve got two weeks in my studio catching up on news, bits of work for clients and sampling for the new business. There are several elements that will make up the new business. The one I’m currently considering is the re production of historical sports/casual wear that never existed.

The hoody Queen Victoria wore the morning after her hen night for instance, complete with the image of Albert on the back, the t shirt Jane Austin wore the first time she went to The Pump Room in Bath. One off sportswear inspired items with historical silhouettes, detailing and back story. You might think I’m having you on, but wait til you see them, you’ll all want one.

Marmalade and I sourced some recycled sweatshirts and hoodies to start the development, Marmalade picked up shirts for a project she’s getting underway for summer. We are positively oozing creativity, although we considered that we might be spouting, spewing or even vomiting ideas, we settled on oozing.

Stylish, sustainable and mildly amusing, that’s us.
