Have you heard?

Gossip. Some things you just don’t need to know.

I’m thinking mainly about the intimate details of peoples lives, their bad habits, their sexual proclivities etc. B/C/D type celebs need to tell everyone everything apparently.

If a person is serious about avoiding this shite, the internet needs to be approached with care, and eye contact with super market magazine shelves needs to be avoided.

Grade A celebs tend to be less tell all. As general rule you won’t find out much actual real personal stuff about them, just snippets that have been filtered through multi-layers of PR types, or bits that slip out via disgruntled ex employees.

Then came Johnny and his ex Mrs.

Next level oversharing.

I can well see why Depp, a man accused and found guilty of abuse, would want his side of the story heard. He has nothing much to lose reputation wise or loss of employment wise. Financially expensive though I imagine. However, having won once, with her reputation intact, I’d have kept my head down if I was Miss Heard. Disappointed with the performance of her PR team during this current court room drama, she’s sacked them. Surely even she would have to acknowledge that putting a positive spin on shitting on the bed and abusive behaviour towards your drug addled husband is quite a task. Especially when the accepted narrative has been that she alone was the victim.

I anticipate that next to go may be her legal team, having failed to get the case dismissed. Then the judge, the jury, the press, and the public?

If this nasty tale of a dysfunctional marriage hurtling towards a bitter end that is unfolding in a court of law was a movie, I might think it a bit over done.

The ex Mrs Depp could by many accounts win a lying face off with the johnson. As a consequence not only are Frederick’s of Hollywood doing brisk business with their line of fire proof G strings, but it will be difficult to suspend disbelief long enough to believe anything she says in the future.

All in all, it’s a shame. There are no winners here.

I am a woman proud to have opinions, but I wish I didn’t have an opinion on this, I really do.
