Summer

There’s been a lot of life going on in the Tart Cornflake household recently. I’m easing myself into a more relaxed attitude to modern living.

I saw a headline today that replaces ‘Mad Vlad goes Nuclear’ as a favourite.

‘PM turns up for meeting.’

It’s hard to believe those five words are news worthy, but they say everything about the lazy sac of phlegm johnson’s prime ministerial work ethic that anyone needs to know.

In other news, London temperatures have been crazy high for an extended period of time. Admittedly you might describe that time as Summer, the season of warmth and sunshine. We British are used to Summer weather that is significantly less cold than winter, rather than hot, with fewer rainy spells, days that are longer, lighter but not necessarily more sunny.

That’s the kind of Summer required for the rail and road infrastructures and the population at large to function.

It’s not surprising that more sunshine and higher temperatures can cause great excitement in some quarters. This Summer even those perky types who love a hot, sunny day have had enough.

Goodly, who I’d definitely have put in the perky when hot category, admitted that she now considers herself a low twenties kind of gal, rather than the low thirties sort.

I couldn’t agree more, low thirties can definitely go do one, and low forties should fuck off back to the dessert where they came from.

Luckily, we at house Tart, have an abundance of fans so are managing well.

Better than the fans, I’m visiting Knitty in Scotland next week where the predicted temperatures don’t even reach twenty.

Fabulous
