Lost and found

I’ve lost several possessions of varying belovedness due to leaving them on buses.

I’ve not had luck in getting items returned for many years, it’s sad and frustrating. A sign of the times perhaps.

Somewhere in the TfL lost and found alternative dimension there should be several umbrellas of mine, a minimum of two purses and their contents , a beautiful Liberty card holder along with a photo Oyster card, Tate and V and A membership cards.

Hand them in you effers, it’s so obvious an old lady lost them, have a heart.

Saturday morning I put three good dresses in a bag to take to the studio. All black, all roomy, all in need of minor alterations.

After I got to the studio I went to the post room (cupboard) chatted to security, got the lift to my floor. I settled in my studio, lights, music, kettle on, ready for action.

Where’s the bag of dresses?

Not in the studio. Not at reception. Not in the post cupboard.

I walked to the bus turn around point, dragging a guest with me. I got the number to ring. I rang it.

No answer, again and again.

Try again on Monday.

I lamented the loss of the dresses all day while eating drinking and otherwise having a good time. Even through the cocktails, chat and photo-me photo booth capers I wondered if I’d be able to get those poor lost dresses back.

I arrived home a little the worst for wear.

O joy!

The bag of dresses was on the sofa.

I apologise to all those people that I dragged into the drama that was no drama at all.

Hot tips re photo-me-photo-booth use

If you are grey or blonde don’t use the white light background as you will be rendered bald.

Don’t put your money/card in until you’re ready/sitting/have chosen background/drawn curtains etc

Don’t forget to take your glasses off or you may look like Andy Warhol’s plump auntie.

…and don’t sit in front of your smaller friend….

Reading the instructions supplied on the booth itself ahead of use is advised

You’re welcome.
