Wet entertainment

When I have a lot of time, holiday time, my morning bath gets extended. This extension allows me to watch a movie if I feel inclined. I am less discerning entertainment wise while soaking in the tub, but not completely without standards. The film doesn’t need to be “The Godfather,” it doesn’t even need to be “Godfather 3”. Something light, not intellectually challenging, not too violent, but not completely vapid. Feel-good is good. ‘Miss Congeniality” is a really great bathtub movie.

My iPad sits on the toilet cistern for convenience.

This morning’s choice was a romantic comedy. A romantic comedy voted the best romantic comedy of the last decade, according to Netflix. Its stars light up the screen they said.

At the romantic climax of the film, during the heartfelt reflection on the nature of life, love, and taking chances, that precedes the obligatory kiss and tears of joy, Cornflake needed to pee. He stood urinating in front of the screen.

A succinct critique if ever there was one.

Netflix could perhaps include it in their blurb, or add an image of a man pissing to the thumbs up, double thumbs up and thumbs down critical options currently available to subscribers.

Just a thought.
