The news out of Trumpton is constantly all over my bit of the internet. Sleaze and shit and comments and responses to said muck.
This is the third post in a row featuring the American problem, a triptych, trumptych.
Aside from the racism, if that’s a phrase anyone should use, I am offended that the ‘film’ the trump or some un-named, unknown racist assistant/intern/mythical creature with access to the trumps internet posted of the Obamas as monkeys, is so poorly done.
If I had to choose a side based on creative ability alone I’d be on the side of the team that presented POTUS as a planet of the apes style ape. It’s super well produced. The evidence of refined artistic abilities combined with anti racist sentiment makes it a win in camp Tart.
For those who remember the ending of the first planet of the apes movie that image may also have a deeper resonance. The memory of the head of the destroyed Statue of Liberty on the beach.
I’m unsure if the creator of this image had that in mind.
I believe that the White House won’t have noticed any subtleties or depth intentional or not. The current administration is dull, an embarrassment free zone, also an irony free zone in addition to being a bit shit trade wise and scoring negatively in the diplomacy stakes.
And yet, the trump still has an approval rating of almost 40%.
That’s nearly half the population.
There must be women still approving of him, gay people and people of colour.
