Lobster, our young Canadian friend, has just had a visit from her parents. The weather decided to give them a quick rendition of its greatest hits. Freezing cold, soaking wet, dull grey, bright sunny, warm enough to enjoy an outside table. Spring?
How bored people must be with reliable weather, oh to be so bored. I’d like to be bored by politicians too. Politics without the personalities. At least without the greedy, criminal, deceptive, dishonest, fraudulent, sex scandalous personalities we are currently landed with.
Boring and efficient public servants. That’s what I’d like please.
The gobshite Mandleson lives around the corner from us, in the park. Outside his fabulously positioned gaff tv broadcast vans and a possie of paps are keeping vigil over his ruin. I hope this is his ruin and not a speaking tour opportunity. I can hope.
I’m working tonight, Cornflake is at home too. This afternoon we’re getting all nostalgic and watching the film Scandal. Set in a time when shame was still on the menu and a sex scandal was guaranteed to ruin a politician if not a government.
The good old days.

Anyhow, hers a picture of Covent Garden from the Opera house bar.
