I’m dreaming of a Xmas pudding

I’d rather not use the C word in November but I feel I need some extra diet focus on the run up to Christmas, there I said it, Christmas. I’m 21 lbs down, I’m aiming for 28 by New Year so I’m going to try to be a more effective dieter. Plus I’d like to have a pound or two to play with for pudding and mince pies, Yule log maybe. Last year I didn’t get any Xmas pudding. We were with Frenchie and her husband and they don’t indulge. No problem as there are always tons of puddings in the sale right? Wrong! I tried everywhere, even Fortnum and Mason, I was ‘money no object’ desperate. This year dieting will have to stand aside for my pudding. I suspect I may have been a bit pudding hysterical, last week I mentioned to Cornflake that I HAD to have pudding this year and he informed me he’d already bought one and hidden it. I hope Mickey doesn’t find it.

With all this future pudding talk I should point out that I’m still more or less sugar free and it’s still working for me. I haven’t been to a weight watchers meeting for weeks and have pretty much stopped counting points although I am aware of them and I do credit this with my weight loss. I’m considering cutting out bread as that will effectively remove my butter consumption too and I’ve bought some meal replacement drinks for lunch times simply because you know exactly what you’re getting calories wise. The short months between my birthday and New Year are my danger months for weight gain, but not this year. Low cal good timing, or low cal living around the good timing, whichever, good timing, not overindulging. Time to get serious, half a stone in seven weeks is totally do-able and that half stone will be worth so much more than it’s 7lbs when you factor in the weight I won’t be gaining……..

  1. I am so sorry we didn’t indulge your pudding need! However, I can assure ourselves that if you can squeeze in a long weekend, and stand visit I will do plum crumble! I can do a low sugar version? Yoghurt and not cream followed by a route match with o the beach! Yay! That’s the way to do pudding?
