Undeniably obsessive

I can’t really write a diary type blog without mentioning Game Of Thrones today.

The last series starts tonight, 9pm in the USA, 2am here and I’m planning to stay up and watch. I don’t think I’d be able to sleep knowing that it was ‘out there’ without me.

Yes, you are right, it’s a sickness, a madness, an obsession and I’ve got it bad.

GOT it bad perhaps?

Addicted.

It crept up on me, I came to the series late so once I got past the first couple of episodes, which I thought I hated, I was addicted, and could gorge on five series straight off, waiting for series six was short so not bad, the wait for series seven was tough, a loss, a withdrawal, a crisis. The wait for this last series has been very long and hard to bear.

This last month Cornflake and I have rewatched all previous episodes, watched the programme ‘The Game of Thrones so far’ and ‘Games of Thrones; 25 best moments’ and several available episodes of Throne Cast.

Part of me thinks I should be ashamed and keep this obsession secret, along with my love of the £ store, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and pickled onion sandwiches. But secrets can be used against you, best to be the one to tell, own it.

I don’t particularly like fantasy but now dragons are real and if The Night King wins the game, what then?

Oh roll on tonight!

  1. I stopped watching when I thought my beloved dwarf was about to be killed! I never imagined falling in love with a man of di I shed stature but like your secret? I’m putting it out there!
