Paranoia

There are varying levels of care being applied in the Cornflake/Tart household in respect of the advice given by everyone about avoiding catching, and/or spreading the COVID-19 virus. The news, government, internet etc are all having their say and we are picking our way through the sometimes contradictory advice. For that opening phrase, varying levels of care, you could read, varying levels of paranoia. Cornflake oscillates between, this lock down is an assault on our civil liberties, and demanding to know if I’ve washed my hands after our daily walk and washing the bananas. Our grocery shopping and post have never been so clean.

I read an article about a woman who says that she will never leave her home again, ever, for fear of what she might catch. I think I might be heading in the opposite direction. Desperate to be released from house arrest, miserable that work has infiltrated our home, I’m planning very long walks, with loads of coffee/tea/gin/champagne stops with friends along the way, and, I want parties, dancing, late nights and holidays. Holidays that include all the aforementioned activities and more.

Our letter from the johnson arrived earlier today, Cornflake was going to bin it, I’ve put it in the bathroom just in case we do run out out of loo roll.
